The New Elites Game: Security, Challenges, and Future Goals

Alina: Today, we have with us KutKraft and Joel from The New Elites, a game rapidly gaining popularity in the IOTA community. We’re here to discuss the game’s features, security, and future plans. Let’s begin with an overview of The New Elites game project and its unique features. Could you give us an overview of the project, focusing on its unique aspects?

Joel: Sure.

KutKraft: Thanks, Alina. You’ve covered some good points already. We’re community-focused and incentivize holding experiences. Our project is an NFT GameFi hybrid. It’s important to emphasize the NFT aspect over the GameFi part. We’re adopting an anime art style, more akin to “Berserk” than “Pokemon.” Each NFT receives daily token allocations, which play a critical role in our incentive system. It’s not a traditional video game but a game of strategy where players make decisions on how to use their tokens within our framework.

We’re different because our incentive system is unique. We give 30% of the mint funds back to the holders as rewards, paid in IOTA tokens. I haven’t seen any NFT project give a third of its treasury back to its community within five months, but that’s our plan. This rewards system is a significant differentiator for us.

Alina: That’s a great presentation. Can you tell us more about the Thrones feature in your game and how roles like ruler and patron impact gameplay? Was it inspired by the «Game of Thrones» movie?

KutKraft: I love “Game of Thrones” and “House of the Dragon,” but our Thrones feature wasn’t inspired by them. If a player is a ruler from the winning team, they get a 350% return on their NFT mint cost. Thrones are crucial because they’re needed to generate points for teams. Patrons support the thrones, contributing tokens to create points. Our Twitter page has detailed videos if anyone needs more information.

Alina: That’s really interesting. Let’s talk about security. AuditOne audited The New Elites, and the project received high scores. Were there any critical findings from the audit that influenced your development?

Joel: The most significant finding was related to our use of randomness from the IOTA network. AuditOne discovered that each block uses the same randomness, allowing users to predict elite drops. We changed our process to prevent manipulation by drawing the elites ourselves and then handing them to users. This was a critical adjustment suggested by the auditors.

Alina: Why did you choose IOTA?

KutKraft: I’m heavily invested in IOTA, both financially and emotionally. I believe in its potential and want to contribute to its success. It’s my community, and I want to create something high quality that brings attention to IOTA.

Joel: I started developing on IOTA during the chrysalis days and share its vision. I enjoy the technology, both Layer 1 and Layer 2.

Alina: What about regulatory considerations, that are always a challenge? Have you taken any steps to ensure the long-term viability of The New Elites?

KutKraft: Our main concern was ensuring our NFTs aren’t classified as securities. We’ve been very careful with our communication, avoiding promises of future benefits. We’ve also structured the project through an Australian company, so we’re not bound by European regulations like MiCA.

Alina: Thanks for sharing this infomation! Regarding your future plans. How do you plan to engage the community and maintain user interest post-launch?

KutKraft: We’ll use the Tide platform to track and incentivize community activity. We aim to reward our core community and grow organically. We’re planning weekly weekend events to boost game functions and maintain engagement. Our goal is to encourage people to stay involved with significant rewards for winning.

Alina: That sounds exciting. Finally, can you share your experience working with AuditOne?

Joel: Communication with AuditOne was excellent. They were quick to respond and provided clear instructions. The audit process was smooth, and the auditors were collaborative and open to brainstorming ideas. The only suggestion I have is to consider more person-to-person communication options.

Alina: Thank you for your feedback. And thank you both for this insightful interview. It was a pleasure talking to you. Have a great day!

KutKraft & Joel: Thank you, Alina. Thanks, everyone!
